Elevator rubbing

During initial assembly we found my right elevator torque tube to be in very close proximity to the adjacent support bracket. I had extended the fabric covering to that area and it was rubbing against that fabric. We then removed the excess fabric - the photo below shows that area prior to removing the excess fabric.

After discussing further with Bob Barrows and Mark Goldberg we decided it was prudent to trim a small amount of the adjacent bracket to provide further clearance.

This appears to have provided adequate clearance which I continue to monitor at each annual.

Approaching 500 hours, at the recent Annual, we noticed a very slight contact had also been made on the left elevator in the exact same area. the elevator was removed, clearance improved, and refitted.
